The Kindness of Strangers

This blog is is attempt to fulfill a promise made to a stranger 25 years ago. Spotting a broken down car on the side of rural highway in Upstate New York, a man who could have very easily kept on driving stopped to help me. After an entire afternoon of getting me on my way he accepted only a thank you and a promise that I would help someone else along the way. It is time I fulfilled that promise. I am making a commitment to be kind to a stranger at least once a day for a year.

Hand Me Down Some Kindness

Day 179

Our next door neighbors have two boys a few years younger than ours. That makes them the perfect recipients of my guys' outgrown clothes. I sent my younger son over to with a large bag today. This act of kindness benefits both family's since the filling of their closets frees up some space in ours. I'll throw in the environment as a beneficiary as well. Hand me down kindness, it has a ripple effect.

I remembered that GFTAS day was coming up- I've been looking forward to it since last month. I'll be celebrating with you again tomorrow! :o)
